Overview
This guide walks you through the installation process for your weather shields, along with useful tips to help you get the best fit and finish.
Installation Tips – Weather Shields
- Clean the surface thoroughly before installation
Ensure the window frame is free from dust, wax, and grease so the adhesive bonds properly. Use alcohol wipes or a suitable cleaner such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or methylated spirits. - Dry fit before removing tape backing
Position the weather shield first to confirm correct alignment. Check both front and rear pieces. Once the 3M adhesive sticks, it cannot be repositioned. - Install in a warm, dry environment
Adhesive performs best in mild temperatures and dry conditions. A heat gun or hair dryer can be used lightly to improve adhesion — avoid overheating the shields. - Apply firm, even pressure after fitting
Press along the entire length to ensure proper bonding. - Allow curing time (24–48 hours)
Do not roll the windows down immediately after installation to allow the adhesive to fully cure.

DONT's
- Don’t install on a dirty or wet surface
This will weaken the adhesive and cause lifting. - Don’t rush the alignment
Misalignment can cause wind noise or poor fitment. - Don’t stretch or force the weather shield into place
This can damage the product and affect adhesion. - Don’t roll windows down immediately after fitting
This can dislodge the adhesive before it fully bonds. - Don’t install in extreme cold or wet weather
Poor conditions reduce adhesive effectiveness.
